Final results of the 2003-2004 stakeholder surveys on the use of climate information in natural resource management
We shall present, in step-wise fashion:
- results of a scaled-up analysis of responses showing overall trends;
- aggregate evidence of learning from 1997 to 2003;
- a detailed analysis of learning in the individual agencies making the largest advances; and
- the results of a combing through of the responses to characterize how agency managers perceive and respond to risk and a search for evidence of political pressure at the agency level driven by conflict over the climate change issue in the U.S.
We will conclude with reflections on the implications of our findings for the CIG's outreach strategies.
