Avoiding dangerous climate change
Prime Minister Tony Blair called for an international conference on stabilization of greenhouse gases, which was held February 1-3 at the Met Office in Exeter. Philip Mote, who attended, will provide a synopsis of the science and politics of the conference, including who won
the straw poll of "most annoying participant".
The British press gave generous coverage to this conference:
Philip Mote is a research scientist and director of outreach with the Climate Impacts Group as well as the Washington State Climatologist.
