Coasts
Overview
Coastal research at the Climate Impacts Group (CIG) has been directed at identifying how the economically and ecologically diverse coasts and estuaries of the Pacific Northwest (PNW) are sensitive to climate variations and change. Whether and how coastal zone managers use information about climate variability and change to decrease vulnerability to climate impacts is another major research focus at the CIG.
