Specific tasks include:

- Developing a planning framework that will serve as a guide for adaptation planning for infrastructure, natural systems, regulations, strategic plans, public health, human services, and emergency preparedness;
- Developing a method for assessing how impacts of climate change could affect implementation of existing and future strategic and functional plans; and
- Develop a method for reviewing regulations and apply the method to selected city regulations.
